The challenge

Barasportswear, a Shopify store using the Dawn theme, recently experienced a performance setback due to the different customisations in the theme and third-party apps it had installed.

With Google's update in June 2022, the store owner understood that core web vitals is an important aspect of technical SEO and this posed a challenge in optimizing web performance.

To address this problem, the store owner consulted with Zest Studio, and after an initial consultation, our team was able to quickly identify the issues and focus on resolving them.

The Results

After our optimization, we have significantly reduced the First Contentful Paint and Largest Contentful Paint to less than 1.8s, as well as the Cumulative Layout Shift to 0.02.

This will improve the Core Web Vitals for both desktop and mobile, resulting in a faster website and better shopping experiences for their users.

Additionally, this will boost organic search impression and performance in Google.
